The Federal Disposal System - Everything Must Go

What does the government do with all the unwanted things they bought with our tax money? They auction it off at levels much below what they paid. Federal surplus, seized and forfeited assets make up the majority of items at these auctions. Just about everything and any thing is auctioned. The most extensive data base with government auction events is the General Services Administration. Also referred to as the GSA, they provide a factual resource without misleading the public into thinking government auctions are secret and for the few select. This is a government sponsored resource and does not cost the public money to be a part of. The General Service Administration has its own website with categorized auctions. Each auction has a brief description and picture of the item(s) being sold. The website is easy to navigate and is broken down into states.

Are You Crime Wise When It Comes To Atm Use?

These days almost everyone uses an ATM for their personal or business banking convenience. With the increase of ATM locations comes a rise of what’s being called ATM Crime. Because of this increase the Banking Administration Institute formed a task force of banking security professionals to study ATM crime and has recommended ways to reduce such incidents.

According to task force statistics, the most dangerous hours for ATM crime are from 7 p.m. until midnight, when approximately 49% of such crimes occurred. The most common crimes against ATM users were robbery after withdrawal of funds, forced withdrawal, and robbery of customers’ other personal property, such as jewelry and wallets.

Us Marines - A Strong History Of Bravery And Service

The United States Marines are a highly specialized branch of the U.S. Military, known for their rapid deployment and amphibious warfare abilities. The mission of the Marines is triple-pronged; to defend or seize naval bases and other land operations as needed, to develop equipment and tactics that will advance the capabilities of amphibious landing forces, and to perform other duties as directed by the President.

Created on November 10, 1775 as the Continental Marines, this small force originally consisted of infantry soldiers who served aboard naval vessels, defending the ship, engaging in combat during landing and boarding actions, and manning any raiding parties.

Attitudes Of An Immature Marriage

INTRODUCTION

Marriage, or any true relationship for that matter, is much more complicated than we first figured when we first married. Most couples get married without knowing anything about marriage except the example that their parents set.

And, truth to tell, our parents never sat us down and explained the subtleties of a successful marriage–mostly because, successful or not, they didn’t know why. So we get married thinking, “I love her. She loves me. That is enough.”

Love is great. But it doesn’t guarantee a good marriage. In fact, if you think about it, you argue and fight the most with people whom you say you love the most.

Solar Panels

Currently, the use of solar panels is on very small scale compared to the use of fossil fuels. This does not go for just solar energy, but also wind energy, geothermal, and tidal. The use of renewable electricity only makes up for a small percentage of a nations actual power output.

There are however, some countries who are able to make great use of renewable energy sources to generate electricity. In some areas such as Iceland, you can expect to see most of the yearly energy output coming from these alternative energy resources. Although Iceland can’t make efficient use of solar panels, geothermal energy is in abundance.

Dui Consequense And Dui Statistics In Ohio

Driving under the Influence or drinking and driving can have far reaching consequences, both legally, financially and emotional. When considering the sky rocketing number of deaths and injuries related to drunk driving, most states have taken a more strict stance at this lack of social responsibility.

As a result, having an attorney to plead your DWI case in exchange for a lesser sentence has lost much of its appeal. Judges are trying to send a loud message that such acts of irresponsibility will not be tolerated.

Alternative Home Energy

Hydrogen fuel cells, biomass gases, solar collectors, solar hot water systems, heat storage vaults, photovoltaic electricity, solar panels, solar greenhouses and solar house plans will are all part of the growing trend toward homes that are powered by alternative energy sources. This trend is being driven by ever-more government recommendation and sometimes backing of alternative energy research and development, the rising cost of oil and other fossil fuels, concern about environmental degradation and global warming, and desires to be energy independent. We as individual also face the need of becoming more energy independent from giant energy companies who have a stranglehold on people when it comes to powering their homes by grid-driven electricity.

Awards And Unfair Dismissal - What Is The Point?

Oh the simplicity of AWA’s; stripping-out those ridiculous award conditions for a common sense approach, beneficial to both parties. “What ridiculous award conditions?” I hear you ask. Where shall I start? How about the employers obligation to pay an extra $6.45 per week if the employee collects butchers bones, or paying an extra $16.19 per week if the employee drives more than one horse, or how about the extra $0.94 per tonne for carrying salt. Can you imagine the administration involved with these stupid rules. When paying staff under award conditions employers must determine normal hours worked, hours worked at time and a half, hours worked at double time, hours worked at double time and a half. Do they get the extra $0.42 per day for handling diapers ? Did they work in the forest this week? In that case under the award they receive an additional $20.32 per week. Did Fred collect some money from Mrs Jones? In that case he receives an extra $20.32 per week for collecting monies (but only if that money was over $600). What idiot sits down and determines these laws? An AWA simply trades off these silly little extras for an increase in the basic wage and sensible overtime rates.
