Need for Motivational Humorous Speakers.
Everybody wants success. Some try for it. And some just wish for success; expecting it to drop from the skies or never dare to try for it. Those who strive for success, by pursuing their dreams or cherished goals, often get stuck and do not have a clue as to how to move on. There is a risk of giving up at this point. That’s when they need a gentle nudge and a pat in the back – they need motivation. This is where a motivational humorous speaker fits in. Motivational humorous speakers spur individuals and organizations to keep moving towards their goals energetically and joyfully. And those who haven’t ever dared to pursue their dreams or goals but wish to succeed – what about them? Motivational humorous speakers draw them out from their shells and set them on the path to success. Motivational humorous speakers make these people believe in themselves and prod them to achieve their goals.

An Article Writing Business - Can You Make A Living As An Author?

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a writer? Perhaps achieving the status of Stephen King or William Faulkner? Of course these two literary giants (in far different fields) had a talent few of us can comprehend or imitate; and whether or not you write a best seller is not something I can predict. I can tell you that it is possible to make a living writing online. And no, you do not have to be a Hemingway. However it would be helpful to have a decent command of the language and understand how to put your thoughts on paper.

Editors - What Makes Them The Way They Are - A Tongue In Cheek Look At Editors

Are your articles being subjected to unnecessary editorial changes? Are you beginning to think your writing’s at fault? Think again! Here are some plausible reasons why not. Read on and feel good!

Why editors are the way they are…

Have your pieces been mangled endlessly?
Have you been at the receiving end of an editor’s arrogance lately?

Writing - Good Copy Illuminates And Delivers (the Truth)

Good copy has two important functions.

1) It brings up “the world” alive. And once our attention is engaged,

2) It also delivers the unvarnished truth.

Delivering the truth without aesthetics, without illumination, would be like that proverbial tree falling down in the forest and nobody noticing it. Does a tree really fall if there are no witnesses? We don’t know.

Sheer aesthetic fireworks, on the other hand, without any truth, is disservice to the world. It is betrayal of our short existence here on this earth. It’s deception and the lowliest of the black-arts.

Some Thoughts On Self-publishing

Publishing a book is easier today than it’s ever been. That’s a good thing. Many wonderful books would go unseen if that weren’t true. People who publish their work do so because they like what they’ve written. I do.

I have a certain criteria for the books that I read, and I try to apply it to the books I write. Since I read a great number of books, I know there’s a market for mine. My question then, is how do I find the hundreds of thousand of people who would enjoy my books? How do I let them know that Kerry Grant is solving mysteries?

Common Errors In Short Stories

The title of an article in the August The Writercaught my attention, “How to fix 3 common fiction errors.” I didn’t read the article before I wrote what I thought were the most common errors found in short stories, in fact I didn’t read the magazine’s until after I wrote mine. I wanted to see if anything overlapped.

If we are going to treat our writing seriously, then we have to be serious about improving how and what we write. Rather than resist suggestions and ideas because we don’t want to take the effort needed, we have to force ourselves, if needed, to take those extra steps to write better stories. One step is to avoid and erase errors. I may not be able to cover all the possible errors, but the following are some of the mistakes to avoid.

Freelance Writers: Hourly Or Flat Rate Pricing? Chipping Away At The Mystery Of Pricing

So, what the heck do you say when a prospect asks the dreaded question, “How much would you charge for…”?

Pricing’s kind of a big hill to climb. We’ll take it in small steps. The first thing you’ve got to decide is your hourly rate. Not too many clients will ask about it - although I have a few who have.

Typically, the best situation to run an hourly tab is when you’re doing work that’s bordering on consulting.
