Gathering Cobra Scales
This is a very profitable loot item for farming. Located in Shadowmoon Valley, near as you can be to Coilskar Cistern are Coilskar Cobras. These cobras seem sparse at first, but hidden inside the cave are a great deal more than you would originally expect. The scales from these Cobras are one of the most sought after items for leather workers as they are used to make items like Cobrascale gloves. It is a very low drop rate to find these scales. However, each scale you retrieve will garner upwards of 30 gold in the Auction House. By farming Cobra Scales for an hour, you might pick up 3 or 4, equal to upwards of 120 gold in a single hour. Keep in mind that you will also receive various other drops and loot from these mobs, making it upwards of 160 gold in a single hour.
Primal Might
For those Alchemists with a high enough level to do so, Primal Might is an essential pattern. Found in Shattrath as one of those limited supply items, the pattern only costs 8 gold. Even for those that do not have alchemy, the pattern can be purchased and resold at Auction for 15 gold, a good deal. However, for alchemists this is a prime money making opportunity. Using this pattern, you can combine a Fire, Mana, Water, Earth and Air Primal to create as Primal Might. The Primal Might by itself sells for 125 gold in the auction house. Admittedly, you can only make one Primal Might per day as there is a 24 hour cool down on the transmutation, however it is a profitable action you can take each day. Even if you purchased the primals at auction and resold the Primal Might, you would make a nice profit.
High Level Skinning in Nagrand
Located in Nagrand, you can find one of the best places for High Level skinning. There are numerous methods of doing so, but the most effective is probably the Mastery quests offered to you in Nesingway Safari. These quests will require you to kill numerous mobs. Each of these mobs, including Clefthoofs and Windrocs is skinnable with Knothide and Clefthide leather available. Occasionally there are players without skinning who are questing in this area. Simply find their kills and skin the mobs to gather upwards of 100 gold an hour. Each stack of the leather sells for about 15 gold at Auction.
