Helping an Alcoholic

How to help an alcoholic to quit drinking.

How can we best help an alcoholic?

The best way to help an alcoholic is indirectly. This means that you do not try to control or manipulate them. Do not try to beg them to stop drinking. Do not threaten them or shame them or engage with angry arguments with them. None of these tactics work at all. At best these tactics fail outright. At worst they drive the alcoholic deeper into drinking and isolation.

So how can we help them?

Top 3 Blind Spots That Hold You Hostage

Have you ever been driving in the middle lane on a three-lane highway? You are pinned in with a car in front, a car to the right and another on your left in your blind spot. You’re muttering under your breath, “Why doesn’t that stupid car move up or drop back so I can pass?” Nevertheless, no, he muddles along. Moreover, so must you. The time ticks away faster each time you look at your watch. You pace with your foot on the brake feeling trapped. Feeling stuck!

Does this sound familiar? Do you feel stuck in your job too?

Success Through Accountability

Lack of accountability is something that a lot of people suffer from. However, individuals who have a tendency to procrastinate take this to an entirely different level. The more that one is able to put off doing, the less they are able to be accountable to anyone else. It becomes a vicious cycle for many; one that takes them down the road of failure.

Accountability, when used properly, can be a wonderful tool for attaining success. More often than not, this is to an another person rather than oneself. Either way, it is very helpful in getting one to take the action necessary for advancement. The key is to be able to have the same accountability to oneself as one has to another individual.

Daily Motivation For Virtual Assistants

Too often I come upon aspiring Virtual Assistants who are often ready to throw in the towel. Sometimes it is due to a lack of clients after going into business for themselves. Often it can result from a repeated loss of business due to a termination of contracts. Many lose hope and quickly decide to reenter the workforce.

Fear Management

Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism. Confronting your fears and allowing yourself the right to be human can, paradoxically, make you a far happier and more productive person. Dr. David M. Burns.

Fear will cripple the soul, wound the spirit, and paralyze the flesh. One of my greatest enemies in sobriety, spirituality growth, and life is fear. This enemy is cleaver and cunning disguising itself in various ways. Fear will masquerade as reality when there is nothing real to fear. When I began to realize fear in various forms stopped my forward progress and kept me bound to the past I was one-step closer to freedom. The bible tells us truth sets us free and the truth is in most cases there is nothing to fear.

Secrets Of Online Mlm Success - Why Weight Loss Is The Perfect Online Mlm Business!

Lead with the business or lead with the product. What’s best?

I used to be 100% focused on the business, leaving the product to take care of itself. But then over time I noticed how loyal our Preferred Customers were and how their contribution to bottom line continued to grow.

I use every technique available to attract new associates. I use 100% internet, telephone cold calls where I send them to a capture page or video on the internet, emails, phone or face to face with friends and associates then send them to a capture page and I also pass out business cards and flyers to strangers with my capture page or video URL attached.

Helping Others By Simply Doing Your Own Thing

There are those who benefit many others in the world not by trying to help people, but by simply doing their own thing. If you are doing something because you think people have need for you to do it, then you are perceiving lack in the world. The truth is that the world is whole, complete and there is nothing lacking in it. Since that is the case, you can do whatever you wish simply because it brings you joy. By doing what you want and like, you’ll be helping from a position of wholeness instead of lack.

Real Men With Real Tears Streaming Down Real Faces

Do you even wonder what keeps certain people going year after year? Those who read these articles must recognise by now that Paul is one of my heroes - NOT an idol, but a hero - there is an immense difference. What make Paul tick? What motivated him? What kept him so utterly faithful when so many circumstances - and people! - appeared to be going against him?

At the end of Acts Chapter 20, in the New Testament, we read of this moving scene, as Paul has this final meeting with these leaders of the Ephesian Church. He speaks of what he had done, and how he ministered during his time in Ephesus. He gives us the core - the heart - of his preaching.
